DOSAGES OF FREQUENTLY USED

ANTIMICROBIAL DRUGS

Introduction
The list of frequently used antimicrobial drugs that follows includes the dosage for the drugs most frequently used in the treatment of infectious diseases of dogs and cats. This listing obviates the need for repeating many dosages over and over again throughout the text. The dosages of the less frequently used antimicrobial drugs are given in the discussion of the individual diseases.
Although antimicrobial drugs are frequently recommended the drug preference should be based, when applicable, on the results of antimicrobial susceptibility tests.
Dosages are for dogs or cats unless stipulated otherwise.
